Transition collar Roxtec Sleev-it™

The transition collar is a stainless steel casing containing intumescent material. The material expands to many times its volume when exposed to high temperatures (from approximately 140° C). It creates a pressure, which crushes the softening plastic pipe. A plug of intumescent material fills the seal and closes off the penetration.

Steel to plastic pipe transition

Whether you are working in new build or retrofit projects, you may need to form a connection between steel and plastic pipe in a non-pressurized system. The connection must be protected in the same way as a penetration through a fire rated division. The Roxtec Sleeve-it™ Transition collar can be used to protect the connection and prevent fire or gas from spreading through the steel pipe.

Quick installation

The transition collar is easy to use, vertically or horizontally. The hanging collar is wrapped around the steel pipe and then the casing is wrapped around the joint and closed tight. It is designed to simplify installation, eliminate the need for hot work onboard, and prevent fire. It accommodates the transition between varying steel and plastic pipe sizes.
