What then is cocoa beans shells...? This is husk from the cooa beans, and not the cocoa pods. During the production of cocoa products-like natural cocoa powder, the beans are first roasted. After roasting, the shells on the cocoa beans peels off, just like the outer cover of peanut is peeled off after roasting. It is the peeled off from the cocoa beans after roasting is what is called-COCOA BEANS SHELLS.
Others also grind this shells into fince powder using microns to sieve it, and missed with cocoa substitute. It will serve the same purpose as natural cocoa powder
